Trail Conditions

July 15, 2013

As of July 15 the trails are dry and in good shape.  Be mindful of the over growth and slappers that are common with time of year and with the wetter weather.   Volunteers spent all day last Saturday trimming over growth, mowing the tall grass and removing fallen trees.   If you see plant growth that has invaded the trail and that is particularly irritating, by all mean stop and remove it.  The next rider will thank you and your next time around will be that much less painful. Do not re-route trails from the approved locations or remove rocks and roots which are part of the trails original physiology.

If the trails are close please do not ride them.  You may not care if you and your rig get muddy.  However, we all care when the trail tread is damaged, erodes and pot holes.  The all-volunteer trail crew would rather be riding than fixing unnecessary damage.  So save us the extra work and save yourself the $160 fine when you get caught.
